Technical Sales

We are seeking a technical sales unicorn. A person who both deeply understands technology, whilst also being an expert at applying that technology to build next-level solutions and services. We know sales won’t be your favourite thing in the world, but you’ll appreciate it as a necessary evil to work on great technology with our fantastic customers and partners.

You might be an ex-IT manager, or perhaps a technical pre-sales architect hiding in the shadows behind an enterprise sales team. If so, you may be the person we are looking for. Our client’s appreciate honest solutions and services, designed, sold and implemented by technical experts. We aren’t driven by targets, we are focused on delivering great outcomes for those we serve.

Role overview.
  • Build and grow a pipeline of new prospective clients, in collaboration with the marketing team and our vendors.
  • Serve as the technical authority and trusted advisor, engaging with prospective clients to understand their business challenges and translate them into compelling hybrid cloud and broader IT solutions.
  • In collaboration with our technical team, design and present tailored technical architectures, proposals, and solutions that effectively address client needs, leveraging a deep understanding of hybrid cloud solutions based on multiple platforms (e.g., Nutanix, Azure, AWS, GCP, VMware), infrastructure, and IT services.
  • Lead technical discussions, conduct workshops, and deliver impactful presentations to both technical and business stakeholders, clearly articulating the value proposition and technical differentiation of our offerings.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, emerging technologies, and the competitive landscape within hybrid cloud and IT solutions.
Candidate profile
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in pre-sales technical roles or IT management roles, demonstrating a proven track record of successfully architecting and selling complex IT solutions.
  • Degree or certification and experience in relevant technical areas.
  • Self-starter with a customer focus and a passion for excellence, willing to take on big challenges and reap big rewards.
  • Fast learner and adept at picking up new skills and technologies.
  • Knowledge of driving the sales cycle, from initial customer engagement through to closing the deal, with a proven ability to collaborate with team members, customers and vendors at different levels in the organisation.
  • Desire to build and quickly develop a pipeline of prospective customers using various methods (such as cold/warm calling, emails, events etc) and leveraging CRM, web and social media platforms.
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to constantly changing priorities whilst maintaining first class client service.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills.
  • Strong IT and computing knowledge with excellent organisational and administration skills.
  • Must have a driving license and willingness to drive to customer and vendor sites.
