From Inception To Innovation

A more human approach to technology since 1993.

As enterprises increasingly outsourced core IT functions, the need for a long term, honest, reliable technology partner became clear- ET Works, originally founded as Eurotech Computer Services, was born. The first major client was won in the UK within 3 months. Two more clients were won in the first year. Whilst two have since been acquired, all three are still customers today.

Where it all began.

Rooted in family values since its 1993 founding, our journey has been a consistent push towards a unique appreciation for the beautiful simplicity of technology that just works.

1993

Founded
Eurotech was founded to service enterprises, which were increasingly outsourcing core IT functions. The first major client was won in the UK within 3 months. Two more clients were won in the first year.

1994

Partnerships
We became an IBM Business Partner after 1 year, our first major vendor relationship forming the basis for future agreements, certifications, skills and fulfilment. It also formed our ability and desire to track and evaluate latest technologies.

1997

Norway
Our Norway office was formed. ET Works Norway has it’s own unique history, being sold in later years to a large Norwegian competitor and reformed in 2013 stronger than ever to rejoin the group.

2002

Scale Achieved
The £5m Revenue barrier was broken in the UK. Since then the strategic direction has been to grow to reduce the impact upon the business from cyclic conditions, ensuring that our skills and resources can be deployed from any region.

2003

Relocation
After around 10 years we relocated from rented accommodation in Cranleigh, to our own building in Walton-on-Thames which is now headquarters for the global business, providing a firm base from which to evolve.

2006

Geoscience Services
A very experienced data manager joined to create the Geoscience Services division. This gave us three areas of business and concentration, Core – Enterprise Storage, Tape and HPC. Geoscience – Energy industry application and data management. New Technologies – Innovative solutions to the wider market.

2014

South Africa
We acquired a stake in a South African company, forming a new technology base for the region and the third company of what is now the ET Works Group. This scale enables us to vary our activities to suit the changing technological, economic and global challenges.

2016

ISO9001 achieved
Following a complete compliancy programme, we achieved ISO9001 and as an SME hold the same if not better office functions than any size company in the UK today. In recent years we have also achieved ISO27001, Cyber Essentials and many other certifications.

2017

Norwegian Acquisition
We acquired local Norwegian IT company Eiker Technologies- a local IT desktop support company. Our Norwegian office then opened itself up to growing a strong base of local customers alongside their enterprise customers.

2019

Rebrand
After 25 years trading, a new MD joined the UK and kicks off a project to position the business for its next phase of growth as a global enterprise IT company supporting customers in all verticals with the latest and best technology. ET Works was born.

Technical to our core.

ET Works is a technology first business and always has been since our foundation. All of our people, from our founder and leadership team through to our sellers and technical team have a shared love of technology. Many of our sales team have been IT managers themselves, and are uniquely able to provide our clients with an independent technology led view of solutions to solve the most complex challenges.
